Our Story
Located at Carrer Monistrol 28, in the heart of Barcelona's Gràcia neighborhood, Music-Alex Instruments opened its doors in 1994 with the dream of becoming the meeting point for all music lovers.
Our main activity is the retail sale of musical instruments and accessories. From day one we have focused on absolutely personalized and in-person service: we want you to be able to play, listen and feel each instrument before making your decision. Our goal continues to be maximum customer satisfaction.
Who We Are Today
An author's store
Music-Alex is a one-person project led by Alex, a passionate musician and the soul of the store. In addition, we have a team of collaborating teachers who give private lessons and workshops in our attached classrooms.
Multilingual service
We speak Catalan, Spanish and English, so that both neighborhood locals and international visitors find here a space of trust.
Specialists in each instrument family
We have dedicated sections for strings, wind, keyboards, percussion and sound equipment. Whether you're looking for your first guitar or a professional keyboard, we advise you according to your level, budget and musical style.
Service and Community
Classes and workshops
We organize individual lessons and workshops for all ages and levels: guitar initiation, band combo, basic production... Our teachers —active professionals— adapt each session to your needs.
Workshop and maintenance
We offer basic adjustment services and minor repairs so your instrument always sounds at maximum performance. If deeper intervention is needed, we work with trusted luthiers from the same neighborhood.
Commitment to the neighborhood
We do small jam sessions and presentations at the store or in the neighboring square, promoting Gràcia's musical culture and creating networks with local schools and organizations.
